Snow Soccer World Championships are held annually in Ukkohalla. The sport combines the rules of football with the spirit of swamp soccer, but the playing surface is snow. The key elements are a soft field, a relaxed vibe, and, of course, having fun!
Hallan Akka Skiing Event
Hallan Akan Hiihto is a traditional and lighthearted skiing event held annually in Ukkohalla. The approximately 9-kilometer “Akan kierros” brings together cheerful groups of friends to enjoy a shared, experience-filled winter day.
Hallan Akka Hike
The traditional Hallan Akka Hike is held annually in Ukkohalla, in the stunning landscapes of Komulanköngäs. This autumn event combines hiking with a variety of side activities and enjoyable time spent together in good company.
The approximately 9-kilometer hiking route winds through the diverse nature of Kainuu, leading participants to admire the impressive double waterfall of Komulanköngäs. Participants are encouraged to dress creatively in various costumes. The Hallan Akka Hike offers an unique mixture of nature, physical activity, and good vibes.
Deep Snow Disc Golf
The Deep Snow Disc Golf is held annually in Ukkohalla, offering a unique combination of winter sport and a communal event atmosphere. Played in snowy conditions, the tournament has grown in popularity year after year.
