Tourism is one of the key priority sectors for development in Kainuu. After the prolonged coronavirus pandemic, international tourism is beginning to reopen, and the tourism sector in Kainuu must be ready to meet the upcoming demand in order to maintain competitiveness.
Green transition of Upper and Eastern Kainuu
One of the project’s key objectives is to strengthen expertise related to the green transition in the Upper and Eastern Kainuu region. To ensure this, the aim is to establish a competence center. The center will bring together high-level expertise in the green transition, the bioeconomy, and sustainable development.
